Non-toxic

Most people sleep one third of their lives on mattresses and in bed textile that can damage their health!

Synthetic raw materials, such as polyurethane foams and synthetic SBR latex do not only give insufficient elasticity to a mattress, but can, in some cases, emanate VOC’s (Volatile Organic Components) that may be toxic to the skin or lungs. Fire-retardant treatments bring in still more chemical substances and increase the danger even more.

In bed textile, toxic dyestuff and formaldehyde are the major malefactors. Moreover, sleeping on synthetic material feels much less pleasant, less relaxed.

Perspiration and body heath are not absorbed as is the case with natural materials. Under the chapter “Sleep and Health”, you read that our body detoxifies during the deep sleep. The bed textile, mattress sheet and mattress core therefore must perfectly absorb the perspiration exuded during that phase. Body heath must be evacuated.

Only the best organically cultivated natural materials give you the healthiest sleeping climate.

Green Sleep has set itself an Eco-tested internal log of claims that all raw materials we use must meet. Each subcontractor or Green Sleep production site has to comply with these criteria.

Skal , Eco-cert and QULcertificates back up our quality demands and are asked for every year to our suppliers. Below follow some examples of tests and certificates in relation to:

» Organic Hevea natural rubber
» Textile for mattress sheets
» Bed textile
» Wool
» Wood treatments
