Green Sleep only uses beech and birch from Slovenia or France for the slatted bases and beds. No formaldehyde is used when gluing the plywood. Oiled with beeswax and lacquering is done on a water basis.
We only work with wood from ecologically responsible forest extraction and therefore no wood species from rainforests or from ecologically vulnerable systems. We are working on a project where, since 2007, we have been planting a tree for every slatted base sold in a forest-poor area.
