The Path to Sustainability
Admittedly, the path to a 100% sustainable chain is full of obstacles and challenges. But we take pride in the steps we have already taken and continue to strive for better. Below is the status of our journey—will you join us?
99,41% natural raw materials
And we continuously seek ways to increase that percentage further. For components like the zipper and a few others, we have not yet found a fully natural alternative, but we are working on it.
Less is more: efficient with resources
At Greensleep, we believe in simplicity and efficiency. We use only the best natural raw materials and consciously keep it as minimal as possible. No unnecessary materials or complexity, because every extra resource means additional logistics and impact on the environment. This way, we create high-quality products that are sustainable, without waste.
We borrow our raw materials from nature
Our raw materials can either safely return to nature or be reused. Whether compostable or recyclable, each raw material contributes to a circular future.
No plastic packaging
We package our products using as little material as possible. When we do use packaging, we opt for cardboard instead of plastic. Although cardboard requires more water and energy to produce, it has a much higher recycling rate and is biodegradable. Plastic, on the other hand, never fully breaks down and constitutes a source of microplastics that are harmful to the environment.
Forward-thinking with respect for tradition
While our raw materials have a traditional origin, our thinking and production are truly forward-looking. Our products are designed to be circular, with a view to a sustainable future. Thanks to the TripleR label, our mattresses have a digital product passport that offers complete transparency. Another great example is how we recycle textile waste into yarn, ensuring nothing is lost. In this way, we combine the power of nature with modern technology to be truly future-oriented.
